Why do I have to register for this site?
You don't have to register at all, but benefits include:

  • Chance to follow Phoenix Rising in action through coverage from games and demos we publish.
  • Exclusive interviews and features available only to site members.
  • The ability to 'Send and Receive' Instant Messages.
  • Browse the bios of other site users.
  • Take an active participation in the forums.
  • Add comments to news items and articles with your username.
  • Plus lots more not mentioned above!

So you don't have to register - but you will get more out of the site if you do!

Just what is this site about?
This is the homepage for the UK gaming clan Phoenix Rising. Where you will find information about the games we play in, to interviews and other forms of media.

How can I join this wonderful clan then?
We take on new players as and when we see fit. We don't take on players for skill alone they have to fit in with ourselves or it just doesn't work!

So for now keep and eye out on the news page and when you see an opening follow that up.
Also note that we have been burned with younger players in the past and as ''most'' of us are mature to an extent we generally only take on people older than 18 years of wisdom.

Like the saying goes ''Don't contact us we will contact you!''

How old is PR^ then?
We were formed on Wireplay in June 1998 after the collapse of two clans one been the first Sacred Exterminators [SEX] clan with the other been the only all female clan on Wireplay, ManEaters [ME].

So PR^ has a load of females in the clan?
Well we used to for a while but all of them have now moved onto other things. Some left when we started playing Quake 3 others just got lost as people do in all clans over time.

How comes you have no leader?
It's how we have always been. In some ways it's why we have lasted so long which is a good thing. But when we need to sort something out or recruit a new member it can take a lot longer than other clans.

Can I still view the old sites?
Unfortunately they are no longer online anymore with us officially but you can view images of some of them below you can also use the great Internet Archive to view them, though they are missing some graphics and alot of pages.

We have had a few over the years!

Do you have your own game server?
We do have our own servers, which are paid for by ourselves. We may let other clans use them as long as they ask first and understand they could be asked to leave at anytime.

Please feel free to play on our servers, all we ask is that you have fun and play fair!
